Best Chili Ever

I Love Chili and You’re Going to Love This One!

This is one of my absolute favorite recipes with a blend of ground Turkey and Beef (you could use pork in the place of Beef). If it’s cold and rainy, game day or just wanting something hearty to pack some goodness on those ribs. This is the chili that will make you rethink what good Chili is!

Chili Ingredients

1lb ground turkey

1lb ground beef (or pork)

1 yellow cooking onion

4 cloves of Garlic

5 diced Roma tomatoes

1 can of dark red kidney beans

1 can of navy beans

5 teaspoons of salt

3 teaspoons of pepper

5 teaspoons of parika

1/3 cup of Ketchup

2 teaspoons of garlic powder

To Garnish:

Cheddar Cheese (your choice of medium or sharp cheddar)

Sour cream

Chopped Green Onions

How to Cook the Best Chili Ever

Set the stove top to a medium high, in a large saucepan add two tablespoons of Olive Oil. Add in the diced garlic and onions, sauté until browning. Make room for the turkey & beef and cook until browned (about 10 minutes). Reduce to a medium low and add in salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, ketchup and stir. Then add in diced tomatoes, navy beans, and kidney beans. Allow to simmer for 25 minutes while occasionally stirring and taste testing for the appropriate seasoning level. For those that like a little kick add in 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the mix.

Once the time is up, let cool for a few minutes. Then spoon into a serving bowl and add cheddar cheese, sour cream & chopped green onions as the garnish.
